What is it?
We offer Turkey data eSIM packages so you can use mobile internet while you are in Turkey. An eSIM is a digital profile you add to your phone. You do not need a plastic SIM in the post. These packages are data-only. They do not include a traditional local number for normal voice calls or SMS.
Many travellers use a data eSIM for maps, messaging apps (WhatsApp, iMessage, etc.), email, and browsing, while keeping their usual SIM for calls if their handset supports dual SIM (eSIM + physical SIM together).
If you only use your UK network’s roaming, costs can add up fast. A local data plan is often easier to budget for heavier daily use. Exact allowances depend on the package you pick and the provider’s fair-use rules.

Will it work on my phone?
Your device must support eSIM and allow adding a data plan. Most recent iPhones and many Android flagships support eSIM; some budget or older models do not.
If your phone was bought on a contract, check with your carrier that it is unlocked for eSIM or dual-SIM use where applicable.
We cannot guarantee every handset variant. Please check eSIM support in your phone settings or the manufacturer’s site before you order.
Coverage in Turkey
Packages are intended for use in Turkey on partner mobile networks. Actual signal strength depends on location (cities, coast, rural areas) and your device.
Speeds (4G or 5G where available) and any fair-use limits depend on the package and operator. You will see the details when you choose a package at checkout.
We refresh our package list from the provider regularly so you are offered current products rather than retired or out-of-stock options.

How to get an eSIM
You can purchase a Turkey data eSIM through our online booking in one of two ways:
- Airport transfer + eSIM: book your transfer as usual (one-way or return), then choose a Turkey eSIM package in the eSIM step. You pay the combined total when you complete payment for your reservation.
- eSIM only: select eSIM only at the start if you do not need a transfer. You will skip vehicle and route steps and go straight to contact details and package selection.
Typical flow
- Complete the booking form and submit your reservation.
- When your booking is confirmed, open Manage reservation and pay securely online (e.g. Stripe).
- After payment goes through, we send delivery and setup instructions (see the next section).
After you pay
Once your payment has completed successfully, eSIM details and installation instructions are sent to the email address on your booking. Please enter an address you check regularly and can open on your phone if you install the eSIM while travelling.
Depending on the provider, you may get a QR code for your phone’s eSIM or mobile data settings, or plain text steps. Read the email carefully. Putting the eSIM on the wrong phone or deleting the profile by mistake is hard to fix.
Tip: check your spam or promotions folder if nothing arrives within a reasonable time. If you still cannot find it, contact us via Contact with your booking reference.
If your package allows it, install the eSIM before you travel. Some plans only switch on when you first connect in Turkey; your email will say which applies. Use Wi-Fi while you run through the install steps.
Quick checklist before you travel
- Confirm your phone is eSIM-capable and not restricted by your home carrier.
- Keep your booking reference and the email you used. You will need both for payment and if you contact support.
- Read the refund policy. eSIM purchases count as non-refundable digital goods.
- Save our contact details in case you need help after purchase.
- Charge your phone and allow time to complete installation on Wi-Fi before your flight if possible.
Calls and SMS on a data-only plan
These plans are data-only. If you run dual SIM, normal voice and SMS may still use your home SIM, and your UK provider might charge roaming. For calls, many people use Wi-Fi calling or WhatsApp, FaceTime, and similar apps on the eSIM data. Check roaming terms with your home network before you fly.
Important to know
- eSIM packages are non-refundable once purchased, in line with our refund policy for digital goods.
- Your device must be eSIM-compatible and, where required, unlocked for the profile to work.
- Package names, allowances, validity, and stock can change. We refresh the catalogue often so listings stay up to date.
- RJ VIP Transfer is the booking agency. The eSIM partner supplies the service. Speed, coverage, and fair use follow their network rules.
